Oh well… I failed to keep my promise in just a day. Not bad though. BUT luckily with the hustle and bustle of the life I have right now everything is falling into place. With four pending offers and one job interview coming up I should be, and hopefully, moving on with my life here shortly.
I had a phone interview this past Thursday with a deputy from a sheriffs department just east of my town. He was the sergeant of the department and was asking me all sorts of questions about me. Asked about my work history, what I plan on looking for, and my military service. He asked the million dollar question: What would say if he asked if I could work for their department.
I responded with “are we able to set up a time to talk about this in person?”
He laughed on the phone and said good answer. So I’m just anxiously waiting for an email so that I can take the hour and a half drive out to the county where I will conduct my interview with my soon-to-be (and hopefully!!!) new job.
Aside from filling out forty page background check documents, finding notaries, and getting copies of birth certificates, SSN, and whatever they ask for… Life has been pretty calm.
I just made a goof with my new car…
There she is in all her glory!
But I guess one of my windshield wipers needed to be replaced. It was the driver side one (go figure). I turned them on during a light drizzle and the rubber part fell off and all that it was doing was scraping against my windshield. So now I have a little tiny scratch mark going across my new (eh.. used but new…) windshield…
So naturally I didn’t want to go all the way back to the dealership that I just bought it from saying that I already did something to get a repair done. So I got a repair kit from an auto parts store and did it myself. Well there was a razor blade in the kit and I had no idea what it was for. Being a guy I just half read the directions and applied the resin. Well now I have that resin mark on the windshield (which by the way looks way worse).
I saw some YouTube video’s about the product that I used and it showed that if you use the razor blade you can scrape off the excess resin and make it look like there was no damage at all. So now I have to go buy razor blades. I didn’t want to buy them on the day that I messed up my windshield because I figured going in all frustrated buying razor blades would not look good for me. Maybe if I bought some candy by the register it would make people think I wasn’t depressed (which by the way I’m not!).
But with every funny, weird, and good thing going on with me it’s all just been so oddly calm. I just come home to a nice clean house since the cats have been gone. I saved so much money for potential job offers. Upped my credit score… I mean life couldn’t get any better.
Oh and that my girlfriend still hasn’t realized how big of a mistake I am to her. Joking of course!
(Or am I?!?!)
Well… the weather here just got back to cold. It’s gone from feeling like spring to back to the tundra. Then next week it’ll be back to spring. When is spring time? I’ll never know… I live in Michigan…
Enjoy the sun everyone!
